About the programmes

Nordic Culture Point serves as a secretariat for two cultural programmes of the Nordic Council of Ministers: the Culture and Arts Programme and the Mobility and Residency Programme.

The programmes were established in 2007, and the Nordic Ministers of culture decided on the 4th of April 2011 to continue the programmes. The Culture and Arts Programme was extended by five years (2012-2016), while the the Mobility and Residency Programme was prolonged by three years (2012-2014).

The programmes are open for all forms of art and culture. The programmes include different forms of project support from travel grants to support for production extending over several years.

There are several application rounds for the programmes every year. Application times.

The objective of the new programmes is to create opportunities for activities within a certain timeframe. After that the results of the programmes will be assessed. Nordic cultural cooperation serves as a complementary input into the cultural and art life of the Nordic countries, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland.
