Nordic Culture Point administers the applications, but the decisions on which projects receive funding are made by external experts.
The processing of the applications begins when the application round has closed. Nordic Culture Point registers all the received applications and sends them out to be assessed by the experts. Each application is always read by several experts who review it according to the assessment criteria for the programmes. There are no quotas, all the decisions are made on the basis of the quality of the projects.
The experts reside and operate in the Nordic countries and the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland, and communicate with each other and Nordic Culture Point through the electronic application system. A few times a year the experts meet in person to discuss the applications and develop the programmes.
The processing of an application takes about eight weeks from the deadline. When the expert group has made its decision, Nordic Culture Point will notify all the applicants about the decisions.
Appeal against decisions
It is not possible to appeal against individual decisions. If you have suggestions as an applicant for the development of the programmes, you can send feedback to Nordic Culture Point.
