The Experts' compensation consists of an attendance allowance and an expert fee. The remuneration is based on the experts' status as active practitioners whose knowledge is sought after and respected in the field of art and culture.
The attendance allowance equates to the remuneration currently paid by the Nordic Council of Ministers. The chair receives DKK 1.598 per meeting and the members DKK 1.069 per meeting. 50% allowance is paid for telephone meetings.
The Experts' expenses for travel and board are paid according to the Nordic Council of Ministers' current regulations (e.g. the journey must be undertaken in the fastest and cheapest possible way benefiting its purpose and the Expert's use of time).
An annual expert fee of DKK 30.500 is paid for the assessment of mobility and network applications. If more than 250 mobility applications are received per year the experts receive DKK 125 for the assessment of each of these applications.
An annual expert fee of DKK 10.000 is paid for the assessment of applications for support for artist residence centres. An annual fee of DKK 4.500 is paid for meetings at residence centres. This covers planning, education and feedback for the residence centres.
An annual expert fee of DKK 30.723 is paid to the experts on the Culture and Art Programme for the assessment of the applications in both modules (Production-based activities and Capacity Development) within the Programme.
