The number of applications to Mobility Programme and Art and Culture Programme has increased remarkably in 2009.

The two culture programmes received altogether 1 415 applications in 2009. Compared to 916 applications in 2008, which results to an increase of 54%. The increase is mainly due to the opening of the Mobility programme for applications from the Baltic countries, but the number of applications been increasing in general.
In the Mobility Programme the amount of applications increased from 606 in 2008 to a total of 1 020 applications in 2009 – an increase of 68 %. Also the Art and Culture Programme received 27% more applications than last year – rising from 310 applications in 2008 to 395 applications in 2009.
Art and Culture Programme
The Art and Culture Programme has given support to 25% of all applications in 2009. Of 395 applications 98 have been granted support. Altogether the programme has granted 1 966 055 € through the module for production based activities and the module for capacity building.
Mobility Programme
The Mobility Programme has granted support to 30 % of all applications in 2009. The programme received 1 020 applications out of which 302 have been granted support. All together the programme has granted support for 1 630 929 € through the three modules.
