The network, which operates throughout the world, focuses on research, meetings and production of contemporary visual art. Cross-disciplinary thinking and innovation are central elements in the work of Vision Forum.
Vision Forum is involved in several projects. What they all have in common is that they have a strong international dimension.
-We noticed that we had a gap in our activities. We had several collaborations between for example Sweden and China, Sweden and Germany. However the close Nordic cooperation was not there. Hence, we applied for support from Nordic Culture Point to strengthen our Nordic dimension. As a result we have several Nordic projects that will continue in the future, says Per Hüttner one of the founders of Vision Forum.
Vision Forum has developed a closer Nordic cooperation and they expect the Nordic projects to increase in the future. The cooperation between the Danish art platform Wooloo and the Icelandic inventor Olafur Jonsson is one of several projects under the umbrella of Vision Forum.
The cooperation has the working title “United People” and cross-disciplinary innovative thinking is in focus.
The project looks on how moving outside your cultural comfort zone can unleash creativity and innovation with the goal to inspire cross-cultural activities as well as inter-disciplinary work can develop these. In 2012-2013 they will arrange a workshop and a series of exhibitions focusing on renewable energy sources.
