Nordic Culture Point is now more Nordic than before, since the Norwegian journalist Atle Syvertsen joined the team in August.

Atle was employed as Nordic Culture Point’s advisor for communications in late June and started his job in the beginning of August.
He will be involved in various communications tasks in the office. In August, for example, Atle will participate in information sessions in Oslo and the Faroe Islands.
Atle has studied journalism in Oslo and has taken an advanced course at the Nordic Journalist Centre in Aarhus. He has also participated in a two-year programme for culture at the University in Telemark. Atle was worked for the Norwegian newspaper Aftenporten with different roles; as a correspondent in Stockholm, in the business news department and as a competence manager.
Since many years Atle has had a special interest in Nordic cooperation.
He enjoys being in Helsinki and also working and living on the Suomenlinna island. Or, as he expresses it "to be surrounded by Finnish history". And so far the cultural crashes haven't been that bad.
"I must say it's a bit strange to live in a country where you don't know the language. But so far I have managed just fine. Some people speak Swedish and some know English. And I love Finnish rye bread!", says Atle.
