The fourth and last application round for mobility funding this year granted 73 persons funding. A total of 105.640 Euro is being distributed.
The Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture provides mobility funding for professional artists working in all arts fields and genres. The accommodation grant covers the accommodation expenses for a maximum 7 days in another Nordic or Baltic country than the one that the artist is permanently living in. In the fourth and last application round this year, 163 persons had applied for funding and 73 applications were granted. A total of 105.640 Euro was distributed.
A large number of the granted applications were accommodation grants to the international artist-run art fair Supermarket, which is held in Stockholm in February 2012. Other artists had applied for funding to enable them to go to conferences, research trips and to take part in exhibitions and performances.
The module offers funding for all the fields and sectors of art and culture in the Nordic and the Baltic countries: to professional artists working in all art forms and genres, to authors, translators, curators, producers, cultural editors and researchers, among others.
Next year's first application round opens on 11 January 2012 and closes on 9 February 2012.
