This year’s first application round for the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Culture and art programme opens on 22 February 2010, with a deadline on 22 March. In addition to professionals, now also amateurs and volunteer organisations can apply for funding.
The programme supports projects from all fields of art and culture. Each project needs to have participants from at least two of the Nordic countries Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Norway, and/or the autonomous areas the Faroe Islands, Greenland and the Åland Islands.
The most important assessment criteria are quality and innovative character of the project. When assessing applications from the amateur culture and volunteer sector, priority is given to projects that are executed in cooperation with professionals.
The programme is divided into two parts: funding for production-based activities and for capacity development, which can be for example seminars, courses and workshops.
The programme grants project funding only, and ordinary operational costs cannot be covered through the programme.
Applications are submitted through an electronic application form, which is posted on Nordic Culture Point’s website. You also find the programme criteria and more information on the application system on our website.
Next application round is in autumn 2010.
