Mobility support for 71 persons

Fimmtudagur, 08 Apríl 2010 08:11

71 professional artists and culture practitioners have been granted mobility funding in this year’s first application round for the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture.

Altogether 254 applications were submitted, and have now been evaluated by the expert group.  The number of applications has increased 20 percent compared to last year’s first application round, when 210 applications were submitted.

A total amount of 99 410 euro was granted during this application round.  The funding is based on fixed rates for each destination country.

Mobility support is one of three parts in the programme. The programme also supports network building and artists’ residence centres in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

The programme is financed jointly by The Nordic Council of Ministers and the governments in the three Baltic States. Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania joined the programme in 2009.

Mobility support is again open for applications, with a deadline on 21 April 2010.
