Creating Partnerships within the Northern Dimension Cultural Forum on 24-25 November 2011, Tampere, Finland
Creating Partnerships within the Northern Dimension - Cultural Forum 2011 is a follow-up to two previous Nordic Cultural Forums on the NDPC held in Espoo 2009 and in St. Petersburg 2010 and at the same time an event concluding the programme of Finland's Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers of Culture in 2011.
The third Cultural Forum will take place in the city of Tampere on 24 - 25 November 2011. The venue is Vapriikki, a former industrial complex in the heart of the city, housing a variety of museums and creative facilities.
The Nordic Council of Ministers contributes actively to the Northern Dimension, supporting various activities, the Cultural Partnership in particular.
The aim of the forum is two-fold:
To discuss concrete goals and report on outcomes achieved within the Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture (NDPC) during its first year.
To generate a constructive dialogue and to promote the sharing of innovative ideas between representatives of financing organisations and creative industries. In this spirit, the forum seeks to outline financing concepts and processes for the NDPC for its forthcoming years.
The official program starts at Vapriikki in the morning of Thursday, 24 November. To wrap-up the Forum on the 25 November, we will visit the inspiring Hub Tampere, Demola and Protomo to see innovation in action.
The participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
The organizer offers travel grants to participants from Greenland, Iceland and Faroe Islands. Please, send your application to the Institute for Russia and Eastern Europe, anneli.ojala(at)rusin.fi.
